Pacific Tech Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable / Billing Specialist to join our growing team. We are a Washington State-based federal construction company specializing in roofing and general construction services for federal government, local government, school districts, and private industrial clients nationwide.
Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to manage billing, collections, and accounts receivable functions for our federal and commercial construction projects.
Essential Qualifications
**Federal Experience Required:
- Proven experience with federal government billing procedures and compliance requirements
- Understanding of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) billing requirements
- Experience with prevailing wage certified payroll and invoicing
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit accurate invoices for federal, state, and commercial construction projects
- Manage accounts receivable aging and collection activities
- Process progress billings, retainage tracking, and change orders
- Ensure compliance with federal billing requirements and contract terms
- Reconcile contractor payments and maintain detailed AR records
- Coordinate with project managers regarding billing schedules and payment applications
- Generate and distribute monthly AR reports and aging summaries
- Maintain organized documentation for audits and contract closeouts
Required Skills & Experience
- 3 years accounts receivable/billing experience in construction industry
- Federal government construction billing experience required
- Proficiency in construction accounting software
- Strong Excel skills for tracking and reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Understanding of construction billing cycles, retainage, and lien rights
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, project teams, and subcontractors
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multiple federal agencies (GSA, VA, etc.)
- Experience with multi-state construction operations
