Our experienced team supports major telecom providers through high-quality construction, engineering, and maintenance services.PTC is committed to safety, operational excellence, and delivering reliable fiber network infrastructure across the markets we serve.Position OverviewThe Drop Bury Construction Supervisor oversees field operations related to fiber drop bury installation and restoration activities. This role is responsible for managing drop bury crews, coordinating work schedules, ensuring quality installation standards, and maintaining compliance with safety and client requirements.The Drop Bury Construction Supervisor works closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, restoration teams, and client representatives to ensure residential and commercial fiber drops are installed efficiently and completed to specification.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily operations of fiber drop bury installation crewsCoordinate work schedules, routing, and job assignments for field techniciansEnsure drop bury work is completed according to client specifications and engineering standardsConduct field inspections to verify quality of installation and restorationMonitor crew productivity and ensure daily production goals are metCoordinate with utility locate teams to ensure safe excavationManage materials, equipment, and tools required for drop bury operationsEnsure crews follow OSHA safety standards and company safety policiesCommunicate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, and clients regarding project progressTrack and report completed work, production metrics, and job statusAddress field challenges including permitting, restoration requirements, and customer property concernsSupport training and development of field technicians and crew membersRequired Qualifications3 years of experience in fiber drop bury, underground utility, or telecommunications constructionExperience supervising fiber installation or drop bury crewsStrong understanding of fiber drop installation, conduit placement, and restoration requirementsAbility to read and interpret construction prints and service drop work ordersStrong leadership and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple crews and job sites simultaneouslyPreferred QualificationsExperience working with major telecom providers or fiber deployment programsKnowledge of OSP fiber construction and last-mile network installationsExperience with plow equipment, trenching, or directional drilling environmentsFamiliarity with telecom construction documentation and reporting systemsCDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferredPhysical RequirementsAbility to travel between project locations as requiredAbility to work in outdoor construction environments in varying weather conditionsAbility to walk job sites and perform field inspectionsWhy Join PTCWork on large-scale fiber network deploymentsLead experienced installation crews in expanding fiber infrastructureCompetitive compensation based on experienceOpportunities for advancement within construction leadershipEqual Opportunity EmployerPacific Tech Communications Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
