If you love talking to people visiting Oregon and the Northwest, like apparel, well designed gifts and personable settings, you will love working here. This job is very suitable for someone who likes working in a retail boutique environment one-on-one with customers and has a great eye for beautiful displays and merchandising.

The ideal candidate:

• has retail sales, product display, and merchandising experience.
• is a friendly, positive, and fun individual. A genuinely "nice" person with an exceptional ability to connect with people.
• provides authentic customer service and makes people feel at home.
• is passionate about the Pacific coast, design, and well made goods and pays attention to detail. Presentation is very important.
• enjoys working in a small boutique environment.
• likes to work independently, likes to keep things very tidy and clean, and is okay working alone most of the time.
• opens new product shipments and checks them in when they arrive and displays the new merchandise.
• is able to manage the store independently and solve problems in the absence of the Store Manager for extended periods of time.
• has experience with merchandising, a good eye for design, and product display.
• maintains inventory accuracy and will assist with our eCommerce launch and social media marketing.
• will oversee one or two other team members.
• wants to join a company that is growing and wants to grow with it.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• You will be working in a small unique boutique environment.
• Individual shifts are typically 4-6 hours per day. Shifts can go up to 8 hours per day during busy season for a few weeks. But, your typical shift is 4 to 5 hours.
• Our shifts are 10/11am to 3pm OR 3pm to 7/8pm. So, you must be available to work some of those shifts especially Mondays through Thursdays and on weekends. You must be willing and able to work weekends and on holidays as needed.
• You will be mostly working alone, so if you're someone who needs to be around a team of coworkers, this is not the job for you.
• Up to 25 hours available per week. This is NOT a full time position and is not likely to become a full time position any time soon. Please do not apply for this position if you're seeking a full time job. • You need to provide a great experience for customers, drive sales, work independently, and use good judgment.

PREFERENCES

• Preference will be given to candidates seeking a career in retail management.
• Priority will be given to candidates with prior experience in retail, sales, retail management, personal styling or merchandising and product display.
• Speaking Spanish is a bonus and preferred.
