We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to support our nursing team in providing exceptional patient care across various clinical settings. Responsibilities
- Assist the Nurse Manager in coordinating nursing operations, staffing schedules, and resource allocation to maintain optimal patient care delivery.
- Supervise nursing staff, providing mentorship, performance evaluations, and ongoing education to enhance team skills and morale.
- Ensure adherence to Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) policies, state healthcare regulations, HIPAA compliance, and safety standards across all nursing activities.
- Oversee patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and medical documentation accuracy.
- Facilitate communication between interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans effectively.
- Support clinical procedures such as IV insertion, catheter care, and basic life support protocols.
- Promote infection control practices and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, incident investigations, and compliance audits to uphold high standards of care.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license with current registration; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience working in an ASC preferred.
- Experience in PreOp/PACU/OR
- Proven leadership experience in a healthcare setting; prior nurse management or supervisory roles highly desirable.
- Extensive clinical expertise including critical care experience, medical-surgical skills, and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA.
- Strong understanding of physiology, medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and patient assessment procedures.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a positive work environment.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation and compliance.
