Steel warehouse worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented New Steel Worker to join our Pacific team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role ensuring that our steel meets the highest quality standards and complies with industry regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of quality assurance, as well as the ability to perform inspections effectively. This is a hands-on role and requires physical movement. Overhead crane and forklift skills will be taught.

• Schedule: Monday - Friday. 1am - 9:30am 30-minute lunch.

Duties

• Conduct thorough inspections of incoming finished steel and ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Utilize various quality inspection tools and techniques, tape measures, including visual inspection, to assess product quality.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
• On sight training for all equipment and duties
• Forklift
• Overhead cranes
• Truck loading
• Rail cars
• Maintenance

Experience

• Ability to seek understanding of quality systems and processes.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
