What are the responsibilities and job description for the CEMs Field Technician position at Pacific Standard Environmental, Inc.?
Pacific Standard Environmental (PSE) designs, installs, and maintains Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) for industrial clients across Southern California and beyond. Our technicians work directly with complex monitoring instruments that measure and report regulated emissions. Accuracy, reliability, and technical judgment are critical.
We are seeking a Field Technician with strong hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing instrumentation and electronic systems, not just installing them. While prior CEMS experience is a plus, it is not required for candidates who bring a strong technical foundation and are eager to learn this specialized discipline.

- Perform hands-on mechanical work including component replacement, fittings, and adjustments
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
- Work independently at industrial client sites after training
- Complete service reports, calibration logs, and documentation
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout
