PSC is looking for an experienced Temporary HR Business Partner to lead and execute the HR mission, which includes high quality, strategic HR partnership to this role’s business partners at PSC’s designated manufacturing sites. The role encompasses all aspects of HR including, but not limited to people and leader development, attracting and retaining top talent, providing and at times, facilitating learning opportunities for the PSC workforce at all levels, including new hire orientation, employee relations, reducing risks, supporting and executing PSC’s leave and time off programs. This role reports directly to the HR Manager while working closely with the site’s frontline leaders.

Please note that this interim role has been created to support the organization during the temporary absence of our current HR Business Partner and is expected to remain in place approximately from July through November.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Conduct new hire orientation, onboarding, and recognition programs as needed.
  • Support and at times, create necessary programs and tools to ensure compliance with Federal and State requirements.
  • Performs routine tasks related to human resource programs including but not limited to benefits and leave, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, engagement and learning and development.
  • Support organization initiatives that require people, process and technology changes.
  • Contribute to the compliance of data management and data integrity for the people related processes and systems.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge Of
  • Knowledge and experience with Federal and California employment law – CA/Fed leaves of absence, ADA, EEO, FLSA, FMLA, CFRA, etc.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Passion and experience for engaging employees at all levels to drive business results.
  • HRIS program(s) and leveraging to derive data analytics from HRIS and/or timekeeping platforms.
  • Skilled In
  • Capable of communicating effectively and widely to all levels of the organization.
  • A pattern of collaboration and proactive business partnering to achieve results.
  • Strong analytics, attention to detail and business acumen.
  • Ability To
  • Comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Meet deadlines with little or no direct supervision.
  • Ability to work varying shifts as needed to support a 24/7 workforce.
  • Thought leader and contributing as a Business Partner on situations related to HR and/or business structure/process.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s preferred, Associate’s degree in Human Resources required or related degree
  • 1-3 years experience in Human Resources preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and good judgment when handling sensitive information
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. )
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and change in a dynamic business environment.
  • Desire and commitment to learn and grow within the organization while always maintaining a positive, can-do attitude
  • Experience with conflict management and demonstrated mediation skills
