Job Overview
A manufacturing material planner ensures a smooth manufacturing process by balancing inventory levels and production schedules. They coordinate the inbound supply of raw materials and components, preventing shortages while minimizing excess stock and storage costs.
Responsibilities
· Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels daily, review usage data, and generate purchase requisitions to maintain an adequate supply of materials.
· Production Scheduling: Align material availability with master production schedules and customer demands.
· Supplier Coordination: Liaise with vendors and procurement teams to track inbound shipments, resolve delays, and adjust delivery schedules as needed.
· Sales Liaison: Provide timely estimated lead times for Sales Quotes.
· Issue Resolution: Identify potential material shortages, develop recovery plans, and manage supply chain disruptions.
· Data Analysis: Reflect demand changes in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to ensure accurate forecasting and inventory records.
Requirements
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Experience: 1–3 years of experience in inventory control, procurement, or production planning within a manufacturing environment.
· Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (Acumatica is a significant plus), advanced Microsoft Excel, and data analysis.
· Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
