Position Summary
The Molding Technician is integral to PRP’s production process, specializing in high-precision sealing components. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining complex molding equipment to produce products that meet rigorous quality, dimensional accuracy, and cleanliness standards required by our customers. As a Molding Technician, you will be involved in the full production cycle—from preparing and handling parts to managing molds and final packaging in a controlled environment. With a focus on operational excellence, the Molding Technician ensures each product aligns with PRP’s commitment to reliability, consistency, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Mold Setup and Operation: Set up and operate molding machines according to production specifications, ensuring efficient, accurate runs and adjusting as needed to optimize cycle times.
- Material and Tooling Management: Prepare and handle raw materials properly to avoid contamination, and inspect molds and tooling for wear or damage, coordinating with relevant teams for maintenance or replacements.
- Product Handling and Quality Control: Prepare parts, conduct quality checks at each stage, and verify finished goods meet dimensional and cleanliness standards, working closely with the quality team to address any deviations.
- Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure uninterrupted production. Act as a first responder to process disruptions, using problem-solving techniques to maintain production flow.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, including proper use of PPE, and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment, reporting any unsafe conditions immediately.
- Documentation and Reporting: Accurately record production data, track key performance metrics, and report on process improvements to support continuous enhancement efforts.
- Team Collaboration and Training: Engage in continuous improvement projects, participate in team meetings to drive operational enhancements, and support training for new team members in procedures, quality standards, and safety practices.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in a molding or manufacturing environment, with skills in machine operation and quality control.
- Familiarity with molding equipment and production standards, with attention to detail to maintain product quality.
- Proficient in machine setup, operation, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance.
- Ability to inspect parts for quality, meeting specifications accurately.
- Familiarity with manufacturing safety standards and proper use of PPE.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in molding, machine operation, or related manufacturing technology.
- Experience with inspection techniques and understanding of quality standards.

Experience and Education
- At least 2 years of experience in a molding or manufacturing environment, with skills in machine operation and quality control.
- High school diploma or GED; additional technical training is a plus.
Payrate
- The position offers a competitive hourly wage commensurate with experience and qualifications within the field. The pay range for this Entry-to-Mid level role is benchmarked against industry standards and is subject to adjustment based on the prevailing market conditions. Annual performance reviews provide opportunities for merit-based increases.
Schedule
- On-Site: Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with a 30 min without pay meal break. Overtime may be required, as business demands suggest.
