Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to optimize flow and comfort
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently
- Communicate clearly with guests regarding wait times, menu specials, and restaurant policies
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations
- Maintain a clean, organized host stand and lobby area to uphold high standards of guest presentation
- Handle guest inquiries over the phone with professional phone etiquette, providing accurate information and support
- Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive dining experience
Requirements
- Previous host/hostess experience in a food service or restaurant setting preferred
- Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving protocols, and hospitality standards
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in hotel or guest services is a plus but not required
- Professional appearance and friendly demeanor with strong phone etiquette
