Funding Specialist Job Summary
The Funding Specialist performs a vital role in the organization. The Funding Specialist is responsible for engaging with internal and external stakeholders to fund transactions. The Funding Specialist will receive technical training about our business, our stakeholders, and their function.
The Funding Specialist will coordinate with the banks and investors in funding various transactions. They will also assist in providing payment to vendors on the invoices associated with the funding transaction. The Funding Specialist will be responsible for processing all lender documentation in a complete, accurate, and verified manner that complies with corporate policies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build rapport with lenders and provide on-going communication internally regarding loan status
- Coordinate payment to vendors
- Coordinate funding requests with banks and investors
- Debt and Equity fund transactions
- System and clerical administration
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Be organized
- Pay attention to detail
- Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy
- Be comfortable talking on the telephone
- Have strong email management skills
- Have a positive attitude
- Be curious and enjoy continuous learning
- Candidates should be proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite
Education and Experience:
- Experience as a loan processor in either banking, mortgage or leasing industry is required
- A four-year college degree is mandatory for this position
- Bilingual English-Spanish is a plus
