What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shredder Picker position at Pacific Recycling Inc?
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Visually identify and sort (“pick”) various materials from metal shredder conveyor systems
- During shredder downtime, perform cleanup & maintenance duties including but not limited to:
- Shoveling debris
- Sweeping debris
- Equipment wash down
- Greasing
- Miscellaneous machine maintenance assistance
Additional details & requirements:
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English to understand instructions and emergency communications
- Must be able to stand at picking conveyor for extended periods
- Picking stations are outdoors with shade covers
- Must wear minimum PPE at all times including:
- Hi visibility shirt/vest
- Hard hat
- Safety glasses
- Gloves
- Safety-toe shoes

Full-time position. The schedule is Mon through Thursday, 6 am to 4:30 p.m. Overtime available
