Job Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy machinery such as material handlers and forklifts
- Inspect heavy equipment for mechanical issues and perform preventive maintenance as needed
- Load and unload materials from trucks
- Ensure proper operation of all safety equipment
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures
- Operate controls, levers, and pedals to move equipment
- Move and transport materials using heavy equipment
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have experience operating heavy equipment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions
- Must be able to work well with a team and follow directions
- Must have good communication skills
- Must have the ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical problems
- Must have a strong understanding of safety procedures
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
