Pacific Premierscapes LLC (Pacific Premier Scapes) is a recreational-product general contractor based in Yelm, Washington. We build durable, safety-minded foundations for public play spaces — playgrounds, site prep, concrete, artificial turf, and especially poured-in-place (PIP) rubber surfacing. We run lean, mobile crews across CA, OR, WA, ID, and AK. Quality and craftsmanship come first. We are hiring TWO EXPERIENCED PIP trowelers / installers — not trainees — who can travel with the crew and deliver finish-quality work on real project schedules. THE ROLE Install poured-in-place rubber safety surfacing and related sitework as part of a small field crew. Work is physical, outdoor, and travel-heavy. Lodging is provided on travel jobs; crews typically run with one truck per crew. Primary duties: - Hand-trowel and finish PIP rubber surfacing to spec (levels, edges, joins, thickness, aesthetics) - Mix / place / finish binder and rubber systems per manufacturer and project requirements - Stage materials, prep substrates, and maintain clean, safe work areas - Support related sitework as needed (site prep, concrete interfaces, turf edges, playground surfacing context) - Read plans / layouts; coordinate with leadman and crew for quality and schedule - Follow safety practices on active construction sites in all weather - Communicate clearly with crew leads in Spanish and English MUST-HAVES (non-negotiable): - Experienced installer — we do NOT train from scratch - PIP / rubber surfacing systems know-how (or proven systems finishing that transfers), with quality trowel craft - Adjacent trades OK if skills transfer strongly (e.g., concrete troweler / finisher with hand-trowel discipline) - Spanish AND English (able to work and take direction safely in both) - Travel-ready — overnight / multi-day / multi-state jobs as needed (CA, OR, WA, ID, AK) - Comfortable with outdoor physical work, heat, dust, kneeling/bending, and lifting heavy materials - Reliable, quality-focused, crew-oriented - Home base preference: Yelm / local South Sound orbit (Olympia–Tacoma–greater Seattle reach) CDL is NOT required. NICE-TO-HAVES: - Direct playground / recreational PIP install experience - Concrete finishing / flatwork background - Ability to read construction drawings and grade/layout basics - Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (helpful; not a CDL requirement) - Forklift or small equipment familiarity - Prior prevailing-wage / public-works site experience - OSHA 10/30 or equivalent safety awareness PAY (2026): - Drive time (outside local zone): $20/hr - Yard time: $20–$25/hr (merit / experience) - Regular-wage projects: $30 laborer / $35 mid-tier / $40 leadman ( performance incentives) - Prevailing-wage projects: generally $55–$65/hr by contract award date - Travel jobs: lodging provided 1 truck per crew Exact tier placement depends on demonstrated skill, systems experience, and crew fit.
