Pacific Powder Coating is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Production Technician to join our night shift team. This role is essential to our daily operations, combining hands-on metal prep and powder coating tasks with technical duties like operating our pretreatment wash station and maintaining titration logs. What you'll do
- Surface Preparation & Coating: Hang, mask, sand, wash, unhook, and package metal products according to work order specifications.
- Wash System Operation: Operate the Wash Station System and accurately log daily wash logs.
- Floor Coordination: Assist and back up the Production Supervisor/Floor Lead as needed to keep shift production running smoothly.
- Documentation: Read work orders, understand hanging schematics, and enter accurate data for job costing forms.
- Equipment & Material Handling: Safely maneuver loaded product carts into high-temperature ovens and maintain racks/hooks.
- Quality & Safety: Maintain a clean workspace and strictly follow company, Cal/OSHA, and federal safety protocols at all times.
What we're looking for
- Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED required; experience in powder coating, industrial finishing, or manufacturing production preferred.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read work orders, perform basic math calculations (weights, measurements, unit counts), and complete daily production logs.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Lifting Ability: Regularly lift up to 25 lbs, frequently lift up to 55 lbs, and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs with team/mechanical assistance.
- Vision & Detail: Strong color perception and vision for quality inspection.
