What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool and Spa Technician position at Pacific Pool and Spa Maintenance?
Responsibilities:
- Balance water chemistry of pools, spas, and other water features
- Vacuum pools and spas to company standards
- Netting of pool and spa surface for debris
- Brush pool, spa walls/steps and floors when needed
- Empty skimmers and pump baskets daily
- Backwash pool and spa sand filters
- Inspect equipment for proper operation
- Customer service
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more
- Record services on customers log and daily route sheet
- Perform other duties as may be assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be dependable - must have reliable transportation, able to show up on time for shifts with minimal absences
- Ability to work consistent schedule as required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract
- Knowledge of proper pool cleaning and maintenance methods preferred
- Ability to work with pool and spa chemicals
- Must be able to assist and complete tasks as assigned independently or as a team.
- Ability to read and write English
- General math skills - must be able to perform basic arithmetic using a calculator
- Verbal communication skills, speaking in clear and understandable English
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
