Marine Service Technician – Outboard Motors
Position Summary
Pacific Outboards is seeking a motivated and dependable Marine Service Technician to diagnose, service, and repair outboard motors on fishing and recreational vessels. The ideal candidate has prior marine or mechanical experience, works well in a team environment, provides excellent customer service, and takes initiative to get the job done right.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on outboard motors and related marine systems.
- Conduct routine services, including oil changes, water pump replacements, tune-ups, and inspections.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues.
- Accurately document work performed and parts used.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding service recommendations and repairs.
- Follow company procedures, safety guidelines, and manufacturer specifications.
- Assist with vessel inspections, sea trials, and additional service-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working on outboard motors, marine equipment, or related mechanical systems preferred.
- Basic understanding of marine engines, electrical systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to stay on task and work independently.
- Ability to follow directions and complete assignments efficiently.
- Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and professionalism.
- Positive, self-motivated “go-getter” mentality.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.

Compensation: Based on experience and qualifications.
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
