Role Description This is a contract Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist role with work-from-home flexibility. Therapist will hold a license in California, Idaho, Oregon and/or ID. The therapist will provide individual, couple, and family therapy, focusing on relationship dynamics, communication patterns, and family systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing treatment plans, delivering ongoing psychotherapy sessions, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. The role also involves coordinating care with other providers when appropriate, monitoring client progress, and adhering to all ethical and legal standards of practice. The therapist will participate in case consultation as needed and support a client-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approach to care.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in Relationship Counseling and Family Therapy to support couples and families across diverse situations.
  • Strong Counseling and Mental Health skills for providing individual therapy and managing a broad range of clinical concerns.
  • Solid foundation in Psychology to inform assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment planning.
  • Active state license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or equivalent, in good standing in states listed above.
  • Master’s degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Experience with trauma-informed and couples/families.
  • Ability to maintain clear, timely clinical documentation and use electronic health record systems.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and capacity to work independently in a hybrid environment.
  • Prior experience in private practice or outpatient mental health settings is beneficial.
