Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sonographer to join our mobile radiology team. This position is 100% mobile and will cover Visalia and surrounding areas.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations in nursing homes, assisted livings, PACE centers and in patients' homes. The Sonographer will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring accurate imaging results.
Duties
- Conduct ultrasound examinations on patients, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.
- Utilize diagnostic radiology techniques to obtain clear and accurate images for interpretation by physicians.
- Provide excellent patient care by preparing patients for procedures, explaining the process, and ensuring their comfort throughout the examination.
- Implement aseptic techniques to maintain a safe and sterile environment during procedures.
- Keep detailed records of examinations performed, including patient history, imaging results, and any relevant observations.
Skills
- Proficient in diagnostic radiology techniques and medical imaging practices.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on empathy and communication.
- Effective communication skills to relay information clearly to patients and healthcare providers.
