Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Assistant To assist in the day-to-day functions of the HR Resource in accordance with current acceptable human resources principles relating to the operations in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our operations and as may be directed by the HR Resource/Representative, to ensure that the highest degree of quality is maintained at all times. As the HR/Payroll Assistant, you are delegated to the administrative responsibility and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties. The position is an hourly, non-exempt position
Duties
- Maintain confidentiality of all personnel information and records, both current and archived.
- Support recruitment efforts by scheduling interviews, posting job openings, and coordinating candidate communication.
- Assist with new‑hire onboarding, including preparing documents, collecting required forms, and supporting orientation logistics.
- Maintain employee records and update HR systems with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Respond to basic HR inquiries and direct employees to appropriate resources or HR team members.
- Support HR programs such as benefits administration, training coordination, and performance review processes.
- Assist with preparing HR reports, audits, and compliance documentation.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department.
- Assist HR Resource with ensuring all licenses, certificates and other credentials are kept up to date.
- Perform duties relative to the facility’s overall payroll function. Assist with payroll twice monthly. Daily time entry and reporting to operations.
- Performs other duties as may be needed or assigned.
Requirements
- · High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field a plus
- · 1 years in human resources preferred but will train the right candidate
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
- · Knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) a plus
- General knowledge of employment laws and best practices
- Excellent communication both and organizational skills
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
