CNC Lathe Operator

Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Lathe Operator and become a vital contributor to precision sheet metal fabrication. In this role, you will operate and maintain CNC Lathe or Mills, ensuring high-quality production of metal components.

Duties

• Compute dimensions and machine settings using knowledge of metal properties
• Confer with engineering staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods
• Analyze work orders, drawings, prints, and other data and then perform all necessary calculations
• Write programs or modify existing programs
• Ensure that the machines and programs operate correctly and that products meet specifications
• Sequence automatic machine operations and select cutting tools
• Employ critical thinking, logic, and reasoning to troubleshoot and solve problems
• Provide first product run quality inspection, measurement and fit for use
• Provide operator training on first part production runs

Requirements

• Two (2) years of experience running CNC Lathes or Milling machines
• Ability to read prints and drawings
• Ability to employ critical thinking and basic math skills to solve problems
• Knowledge of machine parameters and cutting characteristics
• Computer skills, including programming
• Strong communication and close attention to detail

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Lift 50 lbs
• Safely perform work duties
• Work environment is indoors, at a moderate noise level. PPE according to specifications is provided
• Exposure to dust and equipment fumes

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
