We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of machinery and fabrication tools to produce high-quality components and assemblies. Duties
- Operate CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines such as shears, bar saws, and plate saws to cut plate metal and sheet metal components with precision.
- Set up and calibrate machinery and CNC programming to meet production specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and schematics to ensure accurate cutting
- Use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, precision measuring instruments, and other measurement devices for quality inspection and verification of parts against specifications.
- Operate cranes, forklifts, and tooling equipment safely to move raw materials and finished products within the workspace.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in quality control inspections throughout the manufacturing process to uphold product standards.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in fabrication, machining, welding, and tooling setup.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T specifications, and use precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers accurately.
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to crane operation, forklift handling, and hand tools.
- Basic math skills including measurements, tolerances, and calculations relevant to manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of quality inspection standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with an active approach to troubleshooting machinery issues quickly.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial settings is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
