Pacific Lift & Equipment Company, Inc. is an equipment contractor specializing in automotive service and repair equipment for car dealership service departments. Family-owned and operating since 1953, we proudly serve clients across California with offices in Pasadena and Sacramento.
We are currently seeking motivated and dependable Equipment Installer Apprentices/Helpers to join our growing Installation Department. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, learning a skilled trade, and being part of a strong, established team.
Position Overview
As an Installer Apprentice/Helper, you’ll work alongside an experienced Lead Installer, learning to install a wide range of automotive service equipment including:
- Vehicle hoists and lifts
- Work benches and shop furniture
- Overhead lubrication systems
- Air compressors and storage tanks
- Exhaust and hydraulic systems
You’ll gain valuable skills such as cutting and threading galvanized pipe, welding, and working safely with power tools — all while learning to take on larger installation projects and eventually grow into a Lead Installer role.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of automotive shop equipment and systems
- Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other job-related equipment
- Follow safety procedures and ensure work areas are maintained
- Communicate effectively with customers, teammates, and supervisors
- Occasionally travel for out-of-town installations
- Represent Pacific Lift professionally and provide excellent customer service
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work safely and follow instructions
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site
