Junior Estimator (Entry-Level)

Position Summary

The Junior Estimator supports the estimating team with take-offs, bid preparation, and mapping analysis. This role utilizes GIS tools and mapping software to measure properties, analyze site data, and support accurate bid development.

This is an entry-level role with hands-on exposure to real projects, working closely with estimators, account managers, and operations teams.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with material and labor take-offs for bids
• Use GIS and mapping tools to measure properties and analyze site data
• Support preparation of proposals for maintenance and enhancement work
• Enter and manage bid information in company systems (Aspire or similar)
• Review plans, aerial imagery, and site data to support estimating accuracy
• Help ensure bids are accurate and submitted on time
• Maintain organized project files and documentation
• Participate in occasional site visits and field walks
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 0–2 years of experience in estimating, GIS, construction, landscaping, or related field
• Experience or coursework in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) preferred
• Familiarity with tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar mapping platforms
• Degree (or currently pursuing) in:
• GIS / Geography
• Construction Management
• Horticulture
• Engineering or related field
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Basic math skills (measurements, quantities, calculations)
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and computer systems
• Strong communication skills in English (Spanish is a plus)
