What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Manager position at Pacific International Executive Search?
Pacific International has been exclusively retained by a Fortune 500 manufacturing organization, in the midst of a wide scale transformation. With continuous improvement at the forefront of this transformation, they are looking to bring a continuous improvement minded Plant Leader into a key operation.
You’ll focus heavily on driving the cultural shift of this key plant – building a mindset around - safety, quality, delivery, cost and continuous improvement. You will also play a key part in a large scale capital project within the facility – working to increase the capacity of the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a manufacturing team to provide excellent customer service by focusing on safety, quality, delivery and cost.
- Lead the manufacturing facility, driving a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence while overseeing all site operations.
- Implement the organization’s Operating model – utilizing tools such as 5S to impact inventory and throughput
- Sets clear production, quality, environmental, and reliability targets aligned with site goals and customer commitments
- Builds organizational capability by hiring, developing, and retaining technical and leadership talent; ensures workforce engagement and performance alignment
- Maintains a strong presence in the plant - engaging regularly and authentically with employees at all levels
- Creates an environment where employees feel heard and valued; encourages feedback, listens actively, and communicates transparently
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma methodologies
- Must have prior experience serving as a Site Leader.
- Bachelor's degree in the Engineering field or Business-Related Area.
- 10 Years of Experience in a manufacturing leadership positions.
- Travel up to 15%
