What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting POS Specialist position at Pacific Homecare Services?
Responsibilities and Duties
· Cover for and assist other Accounting Specialists as needed
· Review timesheets for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
· Prepare and enter billing information into the E-Billing system online
· Run month-end reports and perform billing invoice reconciliations
· Compile information for monthly timesheet audits
· Enter purchase of service authorizations
· Respond to payroll/POS questions and requests from care providers, clients, and Regional Center staff
· Process care provider sick time and check replacement requests
· Follow up on unsigned timesheets and the status of POSs (waiting, expired, etc.)
· Gather, organize, and enter information in the Separation-Resignation folder to process Separation of Employment forms
· Follow up on POS updates
· Maintain confidentiality of our clients and our care providers in compliance with HIPAA
· Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
· Associate degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related program; or
· 1 years of experience in a related field
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong attention to detail with organizational, communication, customer-service and problem-solving skills
· Knowledge of Microsoft Professional Office and a payroll system like Paylocity.
· Bilingual in Spanish/English is preferred but not mandatory
Physical Requirements
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
