Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Conduct routine inspections of mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Perform plumbing work related to HVAC systems such as drainage and water supply connections.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for repair tasks when necessary.
- Assist with appliance repair and property maintenance tasks related to HVAC/R equipment.
- Operate a
driver vehicle safely to transport tools or equipment between job sites while adhering to all traffic laws.
Experience
- Proven service technician experience in HVAC or related mechanical fields with a strong understanding of HVAC/R systems.
- Hands-on experience with construction projects involving HVAC installation or upgrades.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design principles.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration processes is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing plumbing, welding, boiler operation, and equipment repair is essential.
- Field service experience demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues efficiently.
- Prior work involving appliance repair, property maintenance, or facility management is a plus.
