The Construction Manager ensures projects are completed in accordance with company standards, engineering design, regulatory guidelines, permits, and the schedule.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $90,000
Bay Area Maximum: $136,000
&/OR
California Minimum: $86,000
California Maximum: $129,000
This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

- This position is hybrid. You will work from your remote office and your assigned location based on business needs. The headquarters location is flexible within the Bay Area of PG&E's service territory.

Job Responsibilities
- Applies full knowledge to complete construction management assignments of moderate scope and complexity.
- Works on 2-3 projects by working closely with Project Managers and M&C Supervisors to understand construction targets with contract potential.
- Under supervision, addresses communication with contractors and conducts meetings.
- Utilizes the workload management database tool and updates assigned projects.
- Ensures contractors follow their approved site-specific safety plans. Enforces project environmental/land permit conditions and all safety regulations.
- Coordinates both construction project kick-off meetings, PG&E procured material deliveries.
- Ensures accurate contractor billing documentation, manages change orders, and closes out project field records.
- Leads weekly construction and progress meetings and publishes meeting notes with field records on a project basis. Maintains a positive relationship with construction superintendents and project managers, keeping them informed as part of the project team.
- Provides accurate documentation of billing, time payments, closing jobs, inspection records, and change orders.
Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 3 years of experience in the field of Industrial Engineering or Construction
- Ability to travel up to 50% of working time, with occasional overnight stays
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft 365, SAP, Power BI, or similar software.
- Inspection and quality control.
- 3 years of working experience in the field of Industrial Engineering or Construction.
- Demonstrated knowledge of electric distribution and transmission utility infrastructure.
- General knowledge of utility pole construction standards and/or wood pole inspection techniques.
- Demonstrated abilities in cost accounting.
- Contract administration and project scheduling.
- Demonstrated abilities in a project.
- Experience working with contract partners.
Salary : $86,000 - $136,000
