Summary

The Switchgear Assembler is responsible for assembling fabricated metal parts for switchgear cabinets according to specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Follow work orders, read and interpret production drawings and complex blueprints, and have a willingness to go the extra mile to work with other team members to find solutions and present them to their direct reports.
• Mechanical assembly of components for switchgear cabinets. 
• Use various power tools and hand tools (ex. Drills, impacts, screwdrivers, grinders, etc.) to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Identify any product defects; record and report them accordingly. 
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace in the manufacturing facility
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with other team members to ensure a good work environment
• Work to report on issues, malfunctions and defective parts to our manufacturing and engineering teams.
• Adhering to assembly safety standards.

Other Duties:

• Must have experience using hand tools/power tools/machines
• Good understanding of quality control principles
• Good communication skills

Qualifications/Skills:

• High school diploma or a GED equivalent
• At least two years of experience in fabrication
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements.
• Basic understanding of tools (ex. Tape measure, impact drill, etc.).
• Ability to comprehend blueprints and work specifications
• Ability to stand for long periods.
