The ideal candidate has a strong background in lumber products, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to manage a territory and grow business through proactive sales strategies.
- Develops and builds strong relationships with current customers while pursuing and growing business with new customers. .
- Clearly articulates to our customers the benefits of our products and added value of our services.
- Demonstrates the desire to become an expert in the industry in order to build better customer relationships.
- Attends trade association meetings as deemed necessary by management.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, developers, and other key clients.
- Generate new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Visit job sites and client offices regularly to provide product recommendations and support.
- Provide accurate quotes, process orders, and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal teams (inside sales, operations, dispatch) to meet delivery timelines and product specifications.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of company product offerings, especially framing lumber, engineered wood, plywood, and other construction materials.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and territory plans to management.
