Part Time Filler/Closer

About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Filler/Closer to join our Production team. In this role, you will fill and assemble cushions using feathers, down, or synthetic materials and securely close them according to company standards. This position plays a key part in ensuring our products meet weight, quality, and appearance specifications.

What You’ll Do

• Operate filling and closing equipment safely and efficiently
• Fill cushion casings to the correct weight, firmness, and distribution
• Close cushions using sewing or stitching methods
• Perform basic machine setup, maintenance, and part replacement (needles, presser feet, thread, etc.)
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of excess filling materials
• Conduct quality checks on raw materials and finished cushions
• Report defects or mechanical issues promptly
• Move completed products to the packing department
• Support other departments as needed and work occasional overtime or weekend shifts

What We’re Looking For

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise measurements
• Basic sewing skills or experience with industrial machinery
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Previous manufacturing or production experience is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, push, and lift throughout the shift
• Comfortable handling filling materials and performing repetitive tasks
• Able to safely operate equipment with hands and arms
• Must meet physical demands of a fast-paced production environment

Work Environment

• Production and warehouse setting with varying temperatures
• Routine exposure to dust and airborne materials
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 25 per week
