Sanitation Worker - 3rd Shift

In addition to paid vacation, sick and holiday time as well as a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match.We're currently hiring Sanitation Worker 1 for 3^rd Shift schedule starting 8pm Monday-Friday (occasional overtime).

POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision, performs a variety of sanitation procedures. Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the facility to ensure that federal and state requirements are met. Responsible for doing various general job duties to support the production run. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, provide guidance to trainees. Dilay initiative by seeking out additional work when assigned tasks are completed. Use good judgment while performing duties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Wash and sanitize production equipment following procedures and instructions, document activities as needed. Disassemble and reassemble parts of the machinery to ensure that equipment is cleaned thoroughly, notify appropriate parties when problems are encountered.
• Wash and sanitize production work area.
• Empty all refuse containers.
• Clean and sweep warehouse.
• Clean office areas, lunchrooms and restrooms.
• Open and prepare raw material for daily production run.
• Ensure that production area, sanitation area and tools are kept clean and organized.
• Discard used packaging materials in an appropriate manner.
• Perform support duties and skilled positions on production line if line is in operation in lieu of sanitation.
• Open cheese and prepare production lines for on time start up.
• Pack finished product into appropriate packaging.
• Ensure that quality specifications are being met with finished product. Inform appropriate parties when standards are not met.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure food safety, safe work practices to protect yourself and others and not engage in unsafe behavior.
• Must attend all department and company required trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
