Job Overview
A Repair and Reliability Technician - Fabricator plays a key role in ensuring operational efficiency and reliability by focusing on projects and implementing permanent fixes for equipment and system issues. This role requires proficiency in using technology to document work, create sustainable solutions, and provide clear, actionable instructions for long-term success. Secondary responsibilities include responding to calls and supporting preventative maintenance. Skills in fabrication, welding, or electrical work are highly valued and considered a strong advantage.
Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday starting at 4:00AM.
Primary Responsibilities

Project Work and Permanent Fixes:
- Lead and execute projects to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Diagnose root causes of recurring issues and develop long-lasting, effective solutions.
- Leverage technical expertise to fabricate, weld, or perform electrical work as needed to support repairs and upgrades.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions seamlessly into operations.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
- Accurately document all work performed using company-approved tools and technology.
- Develop clear, sustainable instructions for implemented solutions, ensuring ease of use and longevity.
- Provide training and guidance to team members to enhance understanding and adoption of improvements.

Closing Work Orders:
- Complete all assigned work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Document repairs, parts used, and labor hours in the maintenance management system.
- Communicate the status and outcomes of work orders effectively to relevant stakeholders.
Secondary Responsibilities

Preventative Maintenance:
- Assist in the execution of scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Identify opportunities to improve preventative maintenance procedures for increased efficiency and reliability.

Operational Support:
- Respond to calls for assistance on equipment issues, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and production impact.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to address immediate needs while minimizing disruptions.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Must be experienced working with computers and have the ability to learn, navigate and use designated software programs as required to perform job functions. Must be able to work effectively in a multi-tasking work environment and prioritize workload. Must be able to work independently and have the ability to interact positively with others within the department and organization. Must demonstrate the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, drawings, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to clearly and effectively write reports and correspondence. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with production operators in a positive manner.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred. Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Proficiency in fabrication, welding, or electrical work is a plus.
Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to airborne particles. The employee occasionally works in high places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. Work is normally performed in a warehouse/production type atmosphere where the temperature is as low as 32 degrees, low environmental temperature levels. Noise level in the production environment may require use of hearing protection. Requires standing for long periods of time, walking, climbing stairs, frequent lifting of material up to 50 pounds and frequent twisting, turning, reaching, pushing, and pulling
