As a Lead Litigation Attorney, you will serve as lead counsel in contested family law cases, including divorce, custody, parenting time disputes, support matters, modifications, enforcement actions, relocations, and other complex, high-conflict proceedings. You will maintain substantial ownership of your cases while collaborating closely with partners, associates, and legal support staff to deliver exceptional client service and results.

Role Overview

This senior-level litigation position is responsible for leading case strategy and handling court appearances across a broad range of complex family law matters. The attorney will serve as a key advocate for the firm and its clients, managing cases through all stages of litigation with professionalism, strategic judgment, and a strong courtroom presence.

The ideal candidate is an experienced litigator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, exercises sound legal and tactical judgment, and demonstrates exceptional preparation and advocacy throughout the litigation process. This role also offers opportunities to mentor and collaborate with junior attorneys and legal staff while contributing to the continued growth of the firm.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience practicing Family law
• Admitted and in good standing with the Oregon State Bar
• Demonstrated experience serving as lead counsel in contested hearings, mediations, and trials
• Proven ability to independently manage complex and high-conflict cases from inception through resolution
• Strong courtroom advocacy, negotiation, and case management skills
• Strong strategic thinking and sound legal judgment
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage a demanding caseload while maintaining attention to detail
• Highly organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented
• Calm, confident, and professional under pressure
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor and collaborate effectively with attorneys and support staff

Compensation & Job Type

Compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, litigation background, and demonstrated ability to independently manage complex family law matters.
