Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team in providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in setting the tone for their visit.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover.
- Provide accurate wait times and communicate with guests regarding their seating status.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations and providing information about the restaurant.
- Collaborate with servers to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints with grace, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for managing reservations and orders.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Host/Host or in food service is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with effective phone etiquette.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving practices and guest services.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in hotel settings is a plus but not required.
