Description:Pacific Autism Center for Education (PACE) has an exciting opportunity for a Special Education School Coordinator at its Sunnyvale office. The Special Education School Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the effective operation of special education programs for our high school campus. This position ensures that individualized education programs (IEPs) are implemented with fidelity, compliance standards are met, and instructional teams receive the guidance and resources necessary to support students with disabilities in our high school/post secondary classrooms. The Coordinator serves as a liaison between teachers, related service providers, families, and external agencies to promote a collaborative and inclusive educational environment in the high school/post secondary campus located in Sunnyvale, CA. PACE offers competitive compensation and benefits5 weeks of paid time offRetirement plan with 5% matching contribution, upon vestingRequirements:Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Education, Psychology, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.California Education Specialist credential required. BCBA certification strongly desired.Minimum of 3–5 years of experience working in a special education setting; supervisory or coordination experience strongly preferred. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProgram CoordinationCoordinate and monitor special education services to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (IDEA, ADA, Section 504).Support the development, implementation, and progress monitoring of IEPs and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).May conduct parent/District tours; Assist in the student intake process.Staff Support and TrainingInterview and assess candidates for classroom staff placement at the high school campus.Assist with employee relations matters in collaboration with the HR Director.Assist with classroom observations and provide feedback in collaboration with Educational Coordinator to enhance instructional quality.May provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development to special education teachers and paraprofessionals.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong understanding of special education law, IEP process, and compliance standards.Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams (Therapists, BCBA, Educational Coordinator, etc.)Experience supporting students with autism and other developmental disabilities required.Competency with student data systems: SEIS, SIRUS and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace. Work EnvironmentOn site school-based environment, Monday – Friday. Not a hybrid role.Requires moderate physical activity including standing, walking, bending, kneeling. Also sitting, typing, regular use of PC.Requires completion of safety care training (provided by PACE after hire).
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
