The Packaging Team Lead plays a key role in supporting the Operations Teamwith a range of responsibilities across defined packaging lines. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, has an owner’s mindset, and looking to grow within a purpose-driven and fast-paced organization.
Production Execution
• Lead daily operations for assigned packaging lines.
• Ensure production schedules and daily output goals are achieved.
• Coordinate staffing and work assignments to maximize efficiency.
• Ensure packaging lines are set up for success each day by confirming all required materials and components are staged and ready prior to production start-up.
• Monitor line performance and address issues that impact productivity.
• Escalate operational challenges and collaborate with supporting resources to resolve them quickly. • Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Ensure work is completed and areas are maintained within company, GMP and OSHA standards.
Materials amp; Inventory Management
• Ensure packaging materials and components are properly organized, accurately inventoried, and readily available to support production schedules.
• Promote good housekeeping, organization, and inventory control practices throughout the packaging area.
• Minimize waste, damage, and loss of materials.
Team Leadership
• Lead/Interact in a way that is consistent with Pacha Core Values.
• Train and engage team members daily.
• Own quality and safety for assigned area.
Skills amp; Experience Required:
• Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing, packaging, or production environment is helpful but not required. It is more important to come with a high level of accountability, owner’s mindset with the ability to learn, take feedback and improve daily. • Ability to naturally lead and motivate others.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to speak Spanish being a plus.
• Problem-solving, priority-setting and decision-making abilities.
• Working knowledge of GMPs, safety practices, and quality systems is helpful.
• Experience with basic computer systems.
• The ability to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 40 pounds regularly during an 8-10 hour shift. Team lifting is always encouraged and required for any occasional lifting greater than 40 pounds.
- Walking, twisting, kneeling and bending regularly throughout the shift and climbing stairs, step ladders and ladders occasionally as needed.
- Packing products into various sized configurations and boxes or operating processing and packaging equipment throughout the shift that require manual dexterity, hand strength and coordination.
