SKILLS REQUIRED
Primary (Must-Have):
• Couchbase architecture, cluster administration, upgrades and L3 production support.
• SQL performance tuning, indexing, XDCR, HA/DR, backup and recovery.
• AWS, Linux, Python/Shell automation and enterprise troubleshooting.
Secondary (Good to Have):
• Disaster recovery testing and business continuity planning.
• Experience with cloud-based database architecture and hybrid environments.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Seeking a highly experienced Senior Couchbase DBA / Database Architect to design, administer, and optimize enterprise-grade Couchbase environments across on-premises and AWS platforms. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of overall database experience, preferably with 5 years of hands-on Couchbase expertise, strong L3 production support capabilities, and experience designing scalable, highly available database architectures. This is a senior hands-on technical leadership role focused on performance optimization, high availability, disaster recovery, automation, and production stability.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available Couchbase cluster architectures across on-premises and AWS environments.
- Administer Couchbase clusters, including configuration, upgrades, patching, rebalancing, failover, and routine maintenance.
- Provide Level 3 production support for critical database issues and resolve complex performance and availability problems.
- Perform SQL query tuning, index optimization, workload analysis, and database performance troubleshooting.
- Design, implement, and maintain XDCR replication, high availability, disaster recovery, and backup/recovery strategies.
