Fabrication Shop Assistant Technician (active student - part time)
- Perform parts fabrication using CNC milling, CNC plasma, and 3D printers
- Assist with tooling assembly from blueprints and/or verbal directions
- Perform precision measurement, assembly, and alignment procedures Measurement tools
- Calibration equipment
- Centering fixtures.
- Able to conceive, design, detail and implement modifications to prototype tools
- Assist with performing retrofits to existing tools.
- Support tool and test engineers during tooling fabrication, assembly, functional and testing
- Assist with procurement and pick-up of components from vendors.
- General knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic and electro-mechanical motion control systems.
- Skills in tool development troubleshooting capabilities and techniques
- Assist with forklift, crane, and basic rigging operations
