Owner Operator - Delivery Driver - 16' - 18' Box Trucks

As a 1099/Independent Contractor Box Truck Delivery Driver, you will make a multi-stop business-to-business deliveries in and around the Dothan, AL area. Deliveries are made in box trucks and consist of loading/unloading palletized freight, and/or floor loaded freight to local customers. Routes are assigned 5 days per week with the option to run 6 days during our peak season. Schedules vary Monday-Friday or Tuesday - Saturday. Routes may vary based on customer needs but average 150- 300 miles round trip per day. Shift start times vary, and average up to 8 hours per day. 

Key Responsibilities for Box Truck Drivers:

• Pick up freight and deliver to designated stores. 
• Break down palletized freight at point of delivery as needed.
• Operate a pallet jack to load/unload freight.
• Use Pace delivery app to track and document all deliveries.
• Maintain required insurance.
• Exceed customer delivery requirements and specifications.
• Represent Pace in a professional and courteous manner.
• Be presentable and provide excellent customer service to customers.

What does it take to drive with Pace?

• Have your own working 16' - 18' Box Truck with Lift Gate.
• Meet insurance requirements. $1mill CGL, $1mill auto, $100k motor cargo
• Must meet background and drug screening requirements.
• Drivers must be 21 or older.
• Must have active operating authority with the FMCSA
