Description

The Production Team for the Signs & Graphics Division of Print-O-Stat is responsible for the production, finishing, packaging and installation of signage orders. They will have a background in the signage industry, knowledge of signage materials, printers/plotters/cutters/installation, good communication skills and be able to operate in a fast moving environment. They should also be able to do simple design/modify files for printing and be available for front counter customer consultation. This position involves the production and installation of internal and external, permanent and removable signage, including vehicle wraps and trade show displays.

Responsibilities:

• Clean, maintain and operate all printers, including but not limited to: Oce Arizona Flatbed, EcoSolvent & Latex Roll to Roll printers, and Inkjet printers.
• Ability to install signs and graphics of all types which may include, but is not limited to large vinyl and print graphics, wall graphics and vehicle graphics.
• Operate finishers, including but not limited to: Zund Router/Cutter, GBC laminator, panel cutter
• Identify and select correct signage materials to print on, using appropriate sizes to eliminate waste
• Adept at using hand and power tools such as hammer, drills, table & panel saws, various wall anchors and mounts, grommet machine, levels, files, rulers, and tall ladders
• Ability to safely climb ladders of varying heights
• Must be able to do detailed site surveys to get all required specifications for the full scope of work including but not limited to measurements and photos.
• May assist in writing up job bags for production
• Inspects jobs for accuracy before printing/packaging

Qualifications

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have a valid driver's license/clean driving record

Key Skills:

• Vinyl application experience (prep, cut, weed, mask, apply)
• Full Vinyl Vehicle Wrap experience is recommended
• Previous sign or print industry experience is required
• Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of programs is recommended, in particular, Illustrator and Photoshop
• Knowledge of signage materials and printers
• Operating a printer (flatbed and roll to roll), laminator, router cutter & RIP software
• Strong problem-solving skills, a pro-active customer-oriented approach
• Reliable, presentable, detailed oriented with excellent customer service skills
• Self-motivated team player, and demonstrate a professional, upbeat, positive attitude.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy with highly developed multi-tasking and organization skills and able to problem solve on site.
• Must work well in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing situations and customer requests.
• Be able to take criticism and learn
• Good time management to meet deadlines

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., work with power tools, and use ladder comfortably
