We are a growing oilfield service company based in Odessa, Texas, providing valve maintenance, repair, testing, and field services to operators throughout the Permian Basin. We are looking for a dependable and experienced Pressure Valve Technician to join our team.
Position Summary
The Pressure Valve Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and testing of various oilfield valves. This position requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both in a shop environment and in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble valves including gate, ball, check, relief, and control valves
- Perform pressure testing and document results according to company and industry standards
- Diagnose valve issues and recommend proper repair procedures
- Maintain accurate service and inspection records
- Follow all company safety policies and industry regulations
- Assist with field service work at customer locations when required
- Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment
Qualifications
- 2 years of valve repair experience (oilfield preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with pressure testing and valve diagnostics
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional field assignments
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with API valves
- Knowledge of pressure relief valves and safety valves
- Oil & gas service company background
- Forklift certification
