Overview
PACE Central Michigan is growing, and we are seeking an Occupational Therapist who is ready to jump in and provide care to seniors in the community, helping them live safely in their homes.
Position Summary
Assess PACE Central Michigan, Mt. Pleasant’s participants' activity of daily living independence and components affecting their ability to live safely in the community. This position supports and contributes to the occupational therapy program at PACE Central Michigan. This will include providing and recommending therapeutic interventions.
What You’ll Do
- Comprehensive assessments in the day center/participant’s homes and care planning.
- Provide treatment to improve/maintain function.
- Provide education to participants and caregivers.
- Oversee wellness programming and fall prevention program.
- Provide direction and support to COTA(s).
- Work hours of M-F 8 am–4:30 pm
What We’re Looking For
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited program recognized by CMS.
- Must possess an active and unencumbered OT license in the State of Michigan.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a health-related field.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience working with an age-advanced population.
- Current CPR Certification by AHA, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- Current and unencumbered MI driver’s license. Proof of vehicle registration & insurance.
