What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphics Manager position at Pac-12 Enterprises?
The Graphics Manager is responsible for the design, implementation, and operational oversight of all live event and studio-based graphics workflows across Pac-12 Enterprises. This role bridges creative, production, and engineering teams to ensure high-quality, consistent, and efficient on-air graphics execution. The Graphics Manager directs the creative vision and operational execution of all graphical assets, including motion graphics, lower thirds, bugs, full-screens, and on-set video wall content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the graphics pipeline from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to production deadlines for live events and studio shows.
- Maintain, enforce, and evolve the visual style guides and brand identity across all projects.
- Oversee the implementation of graphics in live, fast-paced environments, ensuring quality control of spelling, layout, and technical specifications (resolution, safe areas).
- Liaise with producers, directors, and clients to translate editorial needs into visual solutions.
- Organize and archive project files (working files, final renders) for future access and consistency.
- Maintain and update graphics systems and, in some roles, oversee the operation of broadcast software like VizRT, Ross Xpression, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Help evaluate the performance of freelance graphic operators.
- Oversee the development of a new graphics package for our Tier 4 streaming partner, plus oversee the implementation and staff training at the 9-member schools.
- Implement and organize all 4 graphics packages for our broadcast partners (CBS, CW, USA, and Tier 4) and train our graphics operators on all 4 looks
- Work closely with broadcast partners' art departments on the design and functionality of the graphics packages, and ensure they are all “Expression” friendly.
- Primary trainer for all new graphics operators.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- 5 years of experience in motion graphics/graphic design, specifically within a broadcast, television, or live event environment.
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) and experience with real-time graphics systems (e.g., Ross Xpression, VizRT).
- Deep understanding of broadcast video formats, standards, and 3D software (Cinema 4D, Unreal Engine).
- Strong ability to communicate complex, fast-paced technical and creative needs to various stakeholders.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work under pressure to meet strict, immediate deadlines.
- Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, particularly for live sports or other live events.

COMPENSATION:
The exact salary will depend on the successful candidate’s location, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
Salary : $115,000 - $130,000
