Salary:

The Pabst Theater Group (PTG Live Events LLC) in Milwaukee Wisconsin is seeking an experienced
individual to manage maintenance needs during events at its venues: Pabst Theater, Riverside Theater, Turner Hall Ballroom, Miller High Life Theatre, The Fitzgerald, and Vivarium.

Responsibilities for this position include monitoring of building systems temperatures, building-related
upkeep and support the facilities standards of cleanliness, safety and functionality. Primary
responsibilities are to staff evening and weekend events and shows. There are opportunities for
additional hours during the day to help full time staff with larger projects when needed.

The ideal candidate for this position will be Hands On with the ability to work under minimal
supervision and utilize multiple trade skills in the areas of Plumbing, HVAC, Carpentry, Electrical,
Painting, and Roofing.



PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Facilities Staff supports the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of event spaces to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This role works closely with the events and operations teams to prepare venues, assist with logistics, and maintain facilities before, during, and after events.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitors and controls building temperatures and related equipment during shows or events.
  • Provides general assistance to the house manager during shows and events.
  • Performs non-critical HVAC preventive maintenance, minor plumbing upgrades, minor electrical work, and general cleaning.
  • Completes assigned work orders.
  • Performs minor theater seat repair or adjustment.
  • Responds to and fixes minor plumbing issues.
  • Replaces light bulbs.
  • Aids with minor snow removal.
  • Supports the facilities standards of cleanliness, safety and functionality
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of experience in facilities, maintenance, operations, or event support.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in the areas of plumbing, HVAC, electrical and carpentry.
  • Experience in venues, theaters, hospitality, or customer-facing operations preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with basic repairs, contractor support, and maintenance systems.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.

GENERAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with basic building systems and repair tools.
  • Comfort using or learning maintenance software (e.g., Upkeep).
  • Attention to detail and follow-through on routine tasks.
  • Valid drivers licenseand ability to travel between venues.
  • Availability for after-hours or weekend support if emergencies arise.
  • Ability to be flexible and make quick decisions, inform others of decisions, and provide rationale for decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of people from different backgrounds.
  • Ability to resolve complaints and issues while maintaining a professional and calm demeanor.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and Gmail.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color determination, and adjustment of focus.
  • Able to use hands to grasp, reach and operate objects, tools, or controls.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear.
  • Regularly required to bend, twist, climb, kneel and balance.
  • Must comply with any safety or PPE requirements.

WORK LOCATION(s):

Any Pabst Theater Group location within the metropolitan Milwaukee area.


SCHEDULE:

Primary schedule has this position working weekdays and weekends. Weekends are mostly evening hours, but can include an occasional weekend day. Rare to have daytime hours during the week. There are opportunities for additional hours during the day to help full time staff with larger projects

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment consists of historic buildings that host live music. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions while performing certain work duties. The noise level in the work environment can range from quiet to loud. Conditions can include normal to low light conditions.
