What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Information Technology Auditor position at PAAST CPA?
Senior IT auditors will primarily participate in information security audits, risk assessments, and some consulting activities for the Firm’s clients, and are primarily supervised by IT audit supervisors or higher. In addition to performing and completing audit steps and/or control testing, they can direct and review the work of staff auditors and are capable of making decisions on most information security and auditing matters. When unusual situations arise, they present the pertinent information to the engagement manager or in charge and follow their advice. Additional hours and/or travel may be required during the busy season or as projects dictate. Essential skills needed include:
- Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) license or similar license for the industry they specialize in is important. This may include Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license with Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) designation
- Information security, cybersecurity, cloud based technologies, and operating system knowledge and understanding their basic processes
- Bi-lingual communications for reading, writing, and speaking in English and Spanish
- Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.

- Ability to write reports neatly and professionally
Senior IT auditors should have at least a college undergraduate degree and have completed at least 30 hours in college-level information security/technology courses. Senior IT auditors normally have a minimum of three years’ experience as a staff auditor, or equivalent experience as deemed appropriate by the Firm.
