Associate Editor, Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh
The Associate Editor is an integral member of the Design and Publishing team, working closely with the Associate Director of Design and Publishing, Junior Designer, and Studio Manager on a wide range of print and digital projects. This position is responsible for copyediting and proofreading all Carnegie Museum of Art produced text including but not limited to: exhibition wall text and artwork labels; exhibition brochures and gallery guides; select publications, which may include exhibition or collection catalogues; programming and event materials; curriculum materials; wayfinding and signage; marketing and press materials; email newsletters; and web content. Collaborating closely with the Curatorial, Exhibitions and Collections, Director’s Office, Development, and Marketing and Engagement teams, the Associate Editor facilitates the progress of text development from concept, to writing, to final production for print and digital projects. In addition to editing, copyediting, and proofreading, the Associate Editor is responsible for developing and implementing the museum style guide and editorial standards.
Salary: $55,185
