What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Specialist -Migrant Education position at PA Migrant Education Program?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Run and analyze reports to determine where instructional and service delivery gaps for participating supplemental educational program student performance gaps are found.
- Prepare customized reports as needed to assist staff with data that will enable them to design instructional lessons and support services to best meet the needs of students. Assist staff in interpreting reports as necessary.
- Review, analyze, and verify student data entered electronically by staff for database accuracy and completeness by running routine reports and doing qualify control reviews with individual staff members.
- Enter, maintain, and monitor student and school/district records, including schedules and report cards for students in grades 9-12, for accuracy.
- Prepare periodic administrative reports including compilation reports.
- Modify and create reports with minimal assistance, as needed.
- Prepare, plan, and deliver in-service workshops to staff on data collection policies and procedures.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
- A Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in education, computer applications/database technology, or other related field and previous experience in data analysis preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience using personal computers and technology required including experience using Windows and/or Macintosh computer platforms.
- Google Drive applications; MS Word and Excel or other relational database development software experience preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize the task based on project deadlines.

Pay: $22.71 - $27.35 per hour
