Employment Type: Part time Shift: Rotating Shift Description: Food Service Associate Lead Schedule: Part Time - 24 hours a week Shift: Various – (Days, Evenings, Rotating) Location: Darby, PA Department: Food & Nutrition Patients Reports to: Operations Manager Position Purpose: Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a Dietary Lead to join our Food and Nutrition team! What You Will Do: The main focus of our Lead Dietary Aide is providing personalized meal service to hospital patients. Assisting patients with meal selection, serving meals to patients, clearing soiled and used trays from patients. Stocking nursing unit pantries with supplies, taking meal carts to and from the patient floors, breaking down meal carts and various other side work duties assigned by management during shifts. Serving cafeteria customers in a friendly and courteous manner. Stocking various areas in the cafeteria and general sanitation. Assisting other cafeteria and patient service staff as needed. Responsible for the record keeping of safe food temperatures and refrigeration temperatures. Works with management to ensure smooth operation and Quality Control. Minimum Qualifications: HS diploma or equivalency (required) Healthcare experience (preferred) Customer service oriented. Effectively communicates with customers, clients, and management. Able to work with minimal supervision and alone. Ability to interact with kitchen and supervisory staff.
