A growing home care agency is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1–3 years of accounting experience who is looking to build a career in healthcare finance. The Junior Accountant will assist with day-to-day accounting functions, reconciliations, reporting, and month-end close.
ResponsibilitiesAssist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
Prepare and post journal entries
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
Support payroll reconciliation and expense tracking
Prepare financial reports and spreadsheets
Assist with audits and regulatory documentation as needed
Work closely with the billing and payroll teams to ensure financial accuracy
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
1–3 years of accounting experience (healthcare or home care experience is a plus)
Strong understanding of accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience in home care, healthcare, or staffing
Familiarity with payroll and Medicaid reimbursement processes
Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage
